Well, I might as well update my journal until it becomes a full YEAR with lack of updating lololokay.

IT WAS AWESOME. Okay, so we got 3 tickets to a Final Fantasy concert at Benaroya Hall on July 10th (beautiful place btw). My sister, her friend, and I went. There was so much traffic getting there, but we made it in time (10-15 before it started, I think?). Oh, and we saw so many asian nerds there it was awesome.

So we were already pumped just by LOOKING at the performers (one of the 1st violinists had a humungous beard which we 'silently' lol'd at). We looked at the program and we were disappointed not to see One Winged Angel. And just as the concert started, Nobuo Uematsu (the man who composed all the Final Fantasy soundtracks) came out, and the whole auditorium roared with fangirl/boy energy. He sat in the audience, about 20 ft. away from us, which was twice as awesome.

So, the symphony performed (not in order):
FINAL FANTASY series: Main Theme, Swing de Chocobo
FINAL FANTASY I-III: Medley
FINAL FANTASY V: Dear Friends
FINAL FANTASY VI: Opera "Maria and Draco"
FINAL FANTASY VII: Opening - Bombing Mission, Aerith's Theme
FINAL FANTASY VIII: Liberi Fatali, Fisherman's Horizon, Love Grows, Don't be Afraid
FINAL FANTASY IX: Vamo' alla Flamenco
FINAL FANTASY X: To Zanarkand
FINAL FANTASY XI: Memoro de la Stono - Distant Worlds

I almost cried because of the epic-ness -sniff- I'm such a nerd but I'm proud of it.
So at the veryvery end, Nobuo came to the stage again to bow. The conductor wanted him to do something entertaining to end the show, like sing, but he couldn't (didn't want to). So the conductor was like: "Well, let's play something that Nobuo can sing to: One Winged Angel!"
... And the whole entire audience screamed and cheered and cried (Well, I don't know about crying, but I felt like I was going to). It was epic. That's all I can say. The performers got a standing ovation for at least 2 min long.

We were hoping to get a recording of the concert, but the line was hugeee (like maybe 1/10th of the whole auditorium? Which is still a gigantic amount lol). We decided not to purchase one, but we were able to get these mini poster/postcard things as a souvenier(sp? whatever).

It took us 1hr 15min or so to get back home because we 'kind of' got lost haha.
Man, it was greattt now I wanna play video games again -sob-
